I spent a week in Cuenca recently (2018) and this book was clearly well out of date. This book has snark, secrets, a dash of suspense, "firsts", delicious humor, a hero to die for, a heroine to root for and secondary characters that are so richly written that you think. I found Zara and Theo's story so romantic. She had one chance to take it back. I cannot handle a book that the main character's can't decide what they want in a relationship so they go back and forth. The book includes helpful work sheets and charts based upon the materials used by probate courts in determining allocation of assets during divorces. The color illustrations aren't bad either, but there really aren't all that many for such a large book, filled with so many classic tales.

She's photographed a lot of prominent and not-so-prominent people over a long career, using modest equipment. The photos are interesting, but not overwhelming. The book is worth having if you're interested in photojournalistic portraiture....
