Although the story itself was kind of morose with ampel body count, I found myself laughing out loud, repeatedly. She’s the girl I’ve lusted after for years. Even if it was a bit simplistic, I love how Autumn was portrayed with anxiety. I've heard or read some complaints about the newer pictures, but we find them fun and creative. In a gazillion books, Elizabeth, is always shoved back down, without much of a starring role in a story. I read this book in record time, because I couldn't wait for Zeke to get a clue to solve the parenting issues facing Tess and himself. Being constantly pulled out of the story by errors makes it harder to get invested in the characters and the story as a whole, and makes the book less impactful, and only more memorable in a negative way.
